Frequently asked questions
- Will my PDF definitely be accepted by TCF/DELF?
- We can't guarantee it — 1 MB is a sensible default target, not an officially verified rule for TCF/DELF. Requirements change, so always confirm the exact current limit on TCF/DELF's own site before submitting.
- Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
- No. All compression happens in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
- Will compressing to 1 MB affect quality or readability?
- We target the embedded images inside the PDF first, keeping the text layer sharp. At 1 MB most multi-page documents stay clearly readable.
- Is this free to use?
- Yes — no account, no watermark, no limit on the number of files.
